As part of the ongoing HOT! Shots series at Dixon Place, Bizzy and Jeremy Gender present Salome! A Veiled Threat - a night of theater, live music, dance, and film presented by queer artists and inspired by one of The Bible's favorite femme fatales. Including dance and theater performances by Ryan Lawrence and Bizzy and concluding with a screening of the 1923 silent film Salome based on the play by Oscar Wilde and starring Nazimova with sets and costumes by Aubrey Beadsly. This classic is projected in 16mm by Stephen Kent Jusick with an original score played live by Hayes Smith and John Swartz. Costumes by Luc Rollin Goodhart with lighting by Peter Cramer. Special guest appearance by the severed head of Jack Waters! Original concept by Bizzy and Jeremy Gender, based on the the play Salome by Charles Mee.

P.S. I Love You and Darlinda Just Darlinda have put together an uproarious line-up of stars for America's Next Top Mary, their burlesque tribute to the Virgin Mary, on Mon May 19th. In Cathlic lore May is the month of Mary and to celebrate the occasion Legs Malone, Dirty Martini, Tigger!, Julie Atlas Muz, Darlinda Just Darlinda, Jo Boobs and La JohnJoseph will all be paying homage to the Queen of Heaven in various reverentially irrevent ways. Scene faces Glenn Marla and Erin Markey will also be onhand as celestial talent scouts, scouring the crowd for participants willing to compete onstage for the title of America's Next Top Mary.
